TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
- Communication 101 - This session explores the essential elements of, and the various types of communication found in a multi-cultural work force. The session also examines the impact of poor and unclear communications in creating a stressful and hostile work environment.
- Communication 201 - The session is aimed at enhancing leadership skills by providing an understanding of the types of communication, and demonstrating how clear and concise communication builds trust and credibility. Participants review case studies, to understand how clear and concise communications keep employees involved, improve working relationships, and helps in attaining consensus.
- Decision Making - Participants learn about some common scenarios and fears people face when making decisions. During this session, participants learn how to make well informed, effective and consensus based decisions.
- Teamwork - The advantages and disadvantages of working teams are explored in this session. Participants learn to recognize team member strengths and weaknesses, and determine when it is effective to work autonomously and when to form teams. The participants engage in teambuilding activities to create a better understanding of 'working teams'.
- Interviewing Skills - This training workshop is intended primarily for Human Resources management and recruiting teams, supervisory staff, and employees who participate in or conduct job interviews. The training covers all California state and Federal laws governing what an employer may or may not ask a candidate during an interview, including confidentiality, proper application and notes storage issues. Participants learn the full theory of interviewing skills, including pre-interview preparation, room set-up, seating for the interview, asking funnel questions, note taking, and closing the interview. Participants spend a major portion of this workshop learning through role-play.
- Leadership Training and Coaching - These workshops range from time management and organizational skills, succession planning and performance management, to specific management skills development coaching. The workshops target the development and enhancement of specific leadership skills in supervisors and senior managers.
- New Hire Orientation - This workshop is aimed at working with the Human Resource management team, and prepares the team to design and develop a customized and comprehensive orientation program that provides a strong learning base for the new employee. The program predicates that the team has complete understanding of the company's mission, vision, values, operations and culture, and must be capable of keeping the employee challenged and motivated. During this workshop, the participants challenge themselves to review required competencies and build the program to include these competencies in logical succession, and implement measures to evaluate progress against expectations.
- Diversity in the Workplace - In this session, participants learn about cultural differences and diversity in the workforce. They learn about commonalities versus dissimilarities between people from different backgrounds, and the different approaches one can apply in understanding and communicating with others. Participants learn about the principles of maintaining a professional work environment, which is respectful of everyone.
- Harassment Awareness & Prevention - In accordance with California state law, this training is for supervisory staff working for a company that employs more than 50 people. Participants learn what constitutes as unlawful sexual harassment and discrimination (FEHA and Title VII) in the workplace. The training identifies those measures required to prevent harassment in the workplace, and the roles and responsibilities of management in handling complaints, incidents, victim rights and confidentiality issues. The training encourages participants to engage in dialogue to promote a better understanding of the topic and to raise awareness.
- SMART Objectives - This workshop helps supervisory teams identify and write objectives which are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound). Participants work with real subject matter and objectives they need to achieve.
- Train the Trainer - This training workshop is aimed at empowering employees and supervisors who play a key role in imparting their technical knowledge and expertise to other colleagues, customers and/or vendors. Participants gain an understanding of adult learning behaviors, triggers, body language, switching approach, and about the benefits of 'training it forward'.
- Facilitation & Presentation - Participants attending this training workshop learn about what it takes to facilitate a meeting and to stand up in front of an audience and talk about a specific topic. They gain a complete understanding of the components of these skills through role-play and group activities.
- Human Resource Support Services - We provide assistance and training in the design and establishment of HR and Recruitment initiatives, employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and other related documentation.
